VideoScripter allows you to edit your video and audio as easily as editing a text document. This guide will introduce you to the core concepts of script-based video editing and highlight some of the unique features that make editing in VideoScripter a seamless experience.
Main concept
Think of the script as a separate, easily editable audio track that runs beneath your video recording. Every time you edit the script, your AI narration will be automatically generated.
Synchronize audio and video
What sets VideoScripter apart is its ability to automatically divide the audio into smaller segments and align them perfectly with the video, using the thumbnail markers placed in the script as a guide.
Thumbnail markers
Thumbnail markers correspond to specific frames in the video recording. By dragging and dropping a thumbnail marker into the script, you instruct the system to synchronize a particular word in the narration with a specific frame in the video.
While this is simple with a single marker, it gets more complicated as you add multiple markers. If there’s too much audio for a shorter video section, the video will need to pause to fit the audio, or if there’s too much video for a shorter audio, the video will need to speed up. Fortunately, you don’t need to worry about this complexity—everything is handled automatically behind the scenes.
You can reposition thumbnail markers by dragging them within the script, or remove them entirely if needed.
Thumbnail labels
Thumbnails are automatically generated by the Recorder. The system will generate a short descriptive label underneath each thumbnail that helps you identify what happened when the thumbnail was taken in order to find its place in the script.
To edit the label, hover your mouse over the three-dot menu next to the label and select "Edit label."
To remove a label, choose the Unlink option or simply delete the marker from the script by pressing backspace.
